barya lang po sa umaga
Oh i can feel the credit crunch!
I have to pay my 2 credit card bills this week. I overspent last month (learning #1: thou shall not swipe your card left and right, there's no such thing as plastic money, in the end, you have to pay for everything!)
ok, they were mostly house supplies - groceries, must-haves, and uhm, "other stuff" (learning #2: though shall not go to the supermarket without a list of must-buys, or else you will end up buying extras)
since i'm out of cash, i opened my alkansya and got a hefty 5,000 pesos of piso, 5 peso- and 10 peso coins! (learning #3: pag may isinuksok may madudukot)
Now, am on my way to bayad center. there's a long line of payees. here i am carrying a heavy plastic (i bundled the coins in 1,000s)..... "Tumatanggap kayo ng barya?" (Do you accept coins?). "Yes, po!", she said. Then i initially showed the paper bills and put the heavy plastic of coins in front of her kahera. "Five thousand po yan"
She looked at me, smiled. Looked at the people next in line. Looked at the ceiling (oh, God parusa ito!) then she immediately called for back up. (I never looked at the people behind me, i wonder how they reacted upon seeing me putting the heavy plastic of coins infront of the cashier? hmmmm....urghh)
Haaaay, after about 10-15 minutes, i heard the backup clerk who counted the coins saying, "Maam complete po!"
Thank you very much SM Taytay for accepting my coins, talagang service with a grin, este smile (learning #4 Though shall love your customers so that they will keep on coming back!).
Next month ulet!

gosh... pano mo nadala yung ganun kadaming barya! hehehe! but that's cool :) saving should be a virtue :) and let us say no to impulse buying... hehehe! there's a reality series that talks about americans to take suicide para lang makatakas sa utang... gosh...

lam mo, pwede maging pelikula yung story mo. galing!
thanks for visiting ysrael
Great lessons to live by! Ok ang story mo. :D
Buti na lang the SM ladies were kind enough to accept your payment even though kung tutuusin eh, baka hindi siya legal tender. Kudos to them for accomodating a valued customer. :)
panaderos: totally agree. SM is everywhere, the convenience it brought to millions of filipinos all over the country is one great achievement. masarap ding magpalamig lalo na kung tag init, libre pa.
anyways ibang topic na yun. :-)
nakibasa...
haha.. that's a great story bro. Hopefully you didn't bring a wheel barrow to bring the coins ! Galing ... goes to show the piggy bank still works :)
joshmarie: hehe. salamat sa pakikibasa

about your post though, I am happy I'm still 20. Hindi pa ako pwede magkacredit card, kasi ang pwede lang sa mga banks eh yung at least 21 yo.
but i'm really planning to get one. basta dapat pang-emergency lang talaga..hehehe
lance: thanks for visiting. i didnt know na may age requirement pala ang credit card.
on "emergency".... hmmn, nakaka addict kasi mag pa swipe na lang at bumili ng kung anu ano, kaya mas ok na rin siguro na walang credit card. pero i will not discourage you on availing one. eventually ikaw ang magdedesisyon kung ipagpapatuloy mo ang cards o hindi.
kahit anong litanya ko on cards, hanggang ngayon meron pa rin akong 3! haaaay! i'm hooked!
